Official WebsiteForges Field is Plymouth’s largest athletic playing field complex. It includes a playground and a 1.5-mile paved walking trail. Also: 3 regulation soccer fields, 2 senior league baseball fields, 2 football/lacrosse fields, 1 adult softball field, 2 Little league fields, 2 youth softball fields, a pavilion, and 6 pickleball courts.
Long before European settlers arrived in 1620, this land was part of Pokanoket, a Wampanoag village governed by Massasoit. To learn more about our local tribes, we encourage you to interact with their members. The Mashpee Wampanoag tribe and the Herring Pond Wampanoag both share information on their websites.
A grassy park with scattered shade trees, including maples. The streams on this property flow eastward to an unnamed brook, which flows through Forge Pond and Howland Pond into the Eel River, just upstream of the Russell Mill Pond Conservation Area. The Eel River continues eastward through Plymouth, into Plymouth Harbor, at the base of Plymouth Long Beach.
A 1.5-mile paved path forms a loop around the complex. Access from the main parking area and the baseball parking area.
