Enjoy desert scenery, an accessible fishing dock, stunning views of Mount Graham, and birdwatching at Roper Lake State Park. You can fish for largemouth bass, bluegill, catfish, and rainbow trout. It’s a great place for kids to catch their first fish!
Roper Lake has a boat ramp, swimming beach, day-use island with picnic tables and grills, camping cabins, and campgrounds. Reservations are available for campsites, camping cabins, group campgrounds, and group ramadas. Boats are limited to small electric motors, creating ideal conditions for a sailboard, kayak, or canoe.
Five miles of trails in the park let you stretch your muscles and view the wildlife. The Mariah Mesa Trail is a 0.76-mile loop trail traversing the top of the mesa. The rest of the trails in the park are paths that connect the campgrounds and day-use areas together
