J.J. Biello Park

J.J. Biello Park

Tips for Birding

Make sure you're dressed properly and have insect repellant if hiking the trails.

About this Location

There are two JJ Biello Parks located in Woodstock, GA. This park is off of Arnold Mill Road. There are several ball fields for Soccer and Football so the park is very busy on the weekends. For birding, there is a small swamp on the western most point of the Parking Lot. Lots of Sparrows, Blackbirds and an occational Rail.

Notable Trails

There are three trail entrances. One to the west of the ball fields, one in the far right corner and one midway. These lead back to the Little River along a Sewer cut. Lots of migrants, woodpeckers. Not difficult. There is a beaver pond but is difficult to find if you're not familiar with it. Ducks and geese may be seen there. Use to be a nesting spot for Yello-crowned Night-Herons.
