As you drive south on US Highway 385, be watching on both the east and west side of the highway for low, wide mounds of dirt with little or no vegetation around them.

When you start to see the mounds, start looking for the Prairie Dogs.

Burrowing Owl, Ferruginous and Red-tailed Hawks.
