About the Park:
For over 50 years the Park has served as a base camp for scouting in the town of Boxford. In 1952, Dunbar Lockwood and Stephen Palmer donated the property, then a gravel pit used during the construction of I-95. The scouts began improving the property by planting trees and adding a log-sided cabin for scout meetings and equipment storage. In addition to the cabin, the park maintains a brookside amphitheater with a fire ring, a central field for numerous activities, and more than 14 rustic woodland campsites. The public also enjoys access to the Park's walking paths that link to the Bay Circuit Trail.
