Often long-distance viewing. Advantage with telescope.

Ducks and geese on the lake and also on the fields. Grey-lag and Barnacle Geese common. Sometimes rare/unusual ducks (and geese) show up. Often waders along the shore and the fields. Red-necked Phalarope sometimes seen, especially during early summer.

One of the best and easily accessible hotspots in the Faroe Islands. Rich lake with fields around, and just 100 m to the sea shore. Roads around the whole lake, but the road on the north- and eastside is narrow and for one car only. Please do not enter the fields, stick to the roads. 

Wheelchairs must use the car roads, with the associated dangers.

Primitive restroom is found at the harbor of Sandur.
