Drive to the cemetery parking lot and bird the surrounding area. Remember that all property in this area is private, so do not stray from the cemetery or paved road. Scan the private lake from the road or cemetery and look for birds such as ducks, gallinules, and other waterfowl. Snags in and around the cemetary support migrant songbirds.
Migrants, including waterfowl, warblers, and flycatchers.
Cox Cemetery is a small cemetery at the end of Robertson Road. The nearby private pond can support waterfowl and plentiful shrubby areas can be good for migrants. Caution- Landowners (one specifically) have given birders trouble at this location. Stick to the road and cemetery and there should not be any trouble. If birding the cemetery, watch for snakes, as it is not often mowed. Ticks are plentiful.
