Main park and forest (planted trees) in Tórshavn. Duck pond, always with Mallards (unless long-term frozen). Some duck surprises may show up in the pond. Common Blackbird and European Robin common to see. Central area for small colony of Collared Dove. In snowy/icy conditions, Ruddy Turnstone will often visit the duck pond, and snipes may now and then be found in the ditches. Also Water Rail may be seen in the winter, but it is very shy, and there is usually only one or two individuals. In the spring, there might be occasional visits of birds like Willow Warbler and Blackcap.
The national Art Museum is at the outskirts of the park. Monument devoted to the memory of sailors who dies during 2nd World War close to duck pond.
