About this Location

Mount Everett State Reservation, 1,356 acres, surrounds the highest peak in the south Taconic Mountains, Mount Everett, which has an elevation of 2,624 feet. The reservation offers hiking trails for all levels of experience, including a section of the Appalachian Trail. From the summit of Mount Everett, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York. The reservation also features Guilder Pond, a scenic spot for picnicking and boating, where mountain laurel and azalea bloom in the spring.
