Weld Pond is part of the Charles River watershed and is fed by Weld Brook, which flows from Wilson Mountain. The pond has a surface area of about 25 acres and a maximum depth of 18 feet. The pond is popular for fishing, boating, and swimming, and has a public beach and boat ramp. Weld Pond is named after Joseph Weld, who owned the land around the pond in the 17th century and donated it to Harvard College.
