Tips for Birding

Walk the road in the vicinity of the cement bridge over May's Creek. Best visited during early morning or evening.

The marshes on either side of the road support marsh birds such as Virginia Rail, Sora, American Bittern, Sandhill Crane and Marsh Wren. Both Alder and Willow flycatchers breed here and can be heard singing simultaneously. The surrounding fields support breeding Bobolink and Eastern Meadowlark.
