About this Location

Dewey Mountain is a small peak in the Green Mountains south of Mount Mansfield. It has an elevation of 3,380 feet. The mountain is popular among hikers, skiers, and snowshoers, who enjoy its scenic views and trails. The mountain is named after Admiral George Dewey, a native of Montpelier who led the U.S. Navy to victory in the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War.
