The New Boston Rail Trail is a historic route that runs for 4.3 miles along the former railroad bed of the Boston and Maine Railroad. The trail passes wetlands, forests, farms, bridges, and historic buildings. The trail is open to pedestrians, bicyclists, horseback riders, and snowmobiles and is maintained by the New Boston Rail Trail Association, a volunteer group that works to preserve and improve the trail for the benefit of the community and visitors.
