Union Meadows is a natural area in Wakefield that consists of wetlands, forests, and fields that provide habitat for a variety of wildlife. Union Meadows was once the site of a mill and a railroad station. The area is managed by the Wakefield Conservation Commission and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
Union Meadows Pond covers an area of about 20 acres and has a maximum depth of 10 feet. The pond attracts many birds, such as great blue herons, kingfishers, wood ducks, and bald eagles.
