About this Location

Jerry Smith Farm Park is a 360-acre city of Kansas City property. The paved entrance road is on 139th Street between Holmes Road and Prospect Avenue. The entrance road provides access to trailhead parking (N38⁰52’41” W94⁰34’7”) and a fishing lake parking lot (N38⁰52’44” W94⁰33’51”). A 1.4-mile loop trail circles the restored northern prairie. There are two other native prairies in the park, adjoining East 139th Street and Arrington Road. The 20-acre Saeger Woods Conservation Area, managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation, is adjacent to the park. Boundary signs for Saeger Woods can be seen from the 1.4-mile loop trail. Saeger Woods connects city park property to its east with county park property (Blue River Greenway) to its west. There are no trails in Saeger Woods. Notable Trails

The 1.4-mile loop trail starts at the parking lot in the center of the property. Mowed grass trails also are available for walking, most starting near the center parking lot.
