Hotspot covering the fields and sea around Old Hoyvík. Most of the area belongs to the National Museum, but the main exhibition site is located 500 m uphill. This area shows an old farm as an Open Air Museum and a small botanical garden. The houses are open 1st May-30th Sept, Monday-Sunday 10 AM-5 PM, with common ticket to the main exhibition. No tickets needed for walking outside in the area.

Often geese and other birds on the fields. Many seabirds in bay and on the surrounding sea. Often people taking a bath  by the boathouses in the bottom of the bay. Please follow paths when walking in the area.
