A pond is located at the Pendle Hill Brinton House on the north side of Plush Mill Road. This pond hosts flycatchers, herons, and kingfishers during the warm months.
Various flycatchers, various warblers, great blue and green herons, belted kingfisher, all common woodpecker species.
Pendle Hill is a Quaker study, retreat, and conference center. The property hosts a network of trails on both the north and south sides of Plush Mill Road. Pendle Hill's Brinton House is located on the north side of Plush Mill Road, and the main campus is across the street. Trails are open to the public and Pendle Hill accepts donations to support the maintenance of these trails.
Nearby are several other hotspots, including Smedley Park, Crum Woods, and Furness Park
The main Pendle Hill campus has pedestrian-friendly paved roadways and walkways which may be somewhat wheelchair accessible, however the perimeter trail is a mulched woodchip trail.
There is a perimeter trail going all of the way around Pendle Hill properties. There is a pedestrian crossing at Plush Mill Road. The trails connect to the Wallingford Community Arts Center and the Leiper-Smedley Trail which goes to the Smedley Park hotspot to the north and to the Crum Woods hotspot to the south. The Leiper-Smedley trail ultimately leads to the Thomas Leiper Estate to the south.
