This Soil Conservation Reservoir is a great place for waterfowl viewing in the autumn/winter months. Utilize all entry points to the lake for your best chance of viewing waterfowl. The large field at the front of the site often harbors meadowlarks and pipits. The brush on the immediate right side as you enter often has sparrows, etc. as well as the occasional snipe.

Lake Kyle is a managed conservation preserve and was acquired and developed with grant funding to preserve open space, water quality and natural habitat. Think of it as a city building with a conservation preserve attached to it. Because of this, the park is fenced and gated, has specific park rules to preserve the natural resources and ensure the park for future generations. The park is open each day (7 days a week) at sunrise and closes each day at sunset.
