Pemigewasset Lake, located in the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire, covers an area of 249 acres and has a maximum depth of 29 feet. The lake is shared by the towns of New Hampton and Meredith, both in Belknap County. The lake drains into Harper Brook, which flows into the Pemigewasset River, a tributary of the Merrimack River. The lake has some development along its northern shore, including summer camps, private residences, and a campground. The southern shore is less developed. The lake also has a large uninhabited island, known as Kelley Island or Blueberry Island, which has edible blueberries and old trees.
