The Big Wash Shared Use Path that is adjacent to Oro Valley Marketplace is the Cañada del Oro Christina-Taylor Green Memorial River Park.

On February 28, 2011, the portion of the CDO from Thornydale Road to Magee Road was renamed to Cañada del Oro Christina-Taylor Green Memorial River Park. Christina-Taylor Green was one of the victims of the January 8, 2011, shooting at a Congress on Your Corner event held by Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
