Walking around the entire pond can prove useful for locating songbirds in the willows during migration. Herons, Egrets, Cormorants, and Anhinga may be perching in the trees along the shore. The park provides a safe viewpoint of the flooded agricultural field across Holly Road, where hundreds of shorebirds are not an uncommon sight during spring and fall migration. Occasionally, there are also White-faced Ibis, Fulvous Whistling-Ducks, and large flocks of doves in the field.
This is the same hotspot as Lake View (Duck) Pond. They need to be merged.
Shorebirds (during migrations), warblers and buntings (during migrations), waterfowl. There is a large flock of resident White Ibis.
This is a popular "city park" where feral ducks and geese reside. Park visitors come to feed them and the pigeons and Laughing Gulls, but Mottled Ducks and Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks will join them.
