Forrest Park runs along Sulphur Springs Draw and has large trees, many of which appear to be pecan trees.
Mississippi Kite can often be found in or near this park in the summer. Woodpeckers include Golden-fronted, Ladder-backed, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Northen Flicker. Olive-side Flycatcher and Western Wood-Pewee have been reported from this park. White-breasted and Red-breasted Nuthatch, Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Brown Creep have all been reported here!!
