Dogs are not allowed on the Great Pond Trail. The trails are not ADA-compliant. The Gifford Park entrance has portable restrooms during baseball season and the Negus Park entrance has restrooms, but they are only open seasonally.

Parking is available at Gifford Park as well as Negus Park. There are viewing ponds of Great Pond available for ducks, and a small group of gulls roosts in the middle. Great Pond is the Town of Weymouth's water supply, so no recreating (boating, kayaking, fishing) is allowed on the pond. Walkers are reminded to be respectful of the water supply while enjoying the trails.
