Guernsey Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe and caring environment for rescued farm animals in Wellesley. Founded in 1975 by Alice and Henry Guernsey, the sanctuary is home to over 100 animals, including cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, and ducks. The sanctuary offers educational programs, volunteer opportunities, and community events to raise awareness and compassion for animals and the environment.
The Guernsey Sanctuary on Sabrina Lake includes a pine grove, a deciduous woodland, an vernal pond, an island, a swamp, and numerous wildflowers, ferns, and club mosses.
