Northeast Creek is an ecologically rich tidal estuary that flows into the Mount Desert Narrows near Bar Harbor. Bar Harbor Road (ME-3) crosses the creek at the Mount Desert Narrows. The creek is home to a variety of wildlife, such as ducks, turtles, muskrats, and dragonflies, and is surrounded by grassy marshes, cranberry bushes, and wildflowers. The creek can be explored by canoe or kayak, but the passage under the ME-3 bridge is only possible at high tide.
