Lower Cabot Town Forest covers an area of approximately 900 acres and is managed by the Cabot Town Forest Committee.
The forest is primarily composed of mixed hardwood and coniferous trees, including maple, birch, beech, spruce, and fir. There are several hiking trails throughout the forest, ranging in length and difficulty.
