This portion of the Mystic River is on the Suffolk-Middlesex County border and has eBird hotspots in both counties. Birders who carefully keep bird records by county should be aware of the location of the county line and use the appropriate eBird hotspot when submitting checklists. 

The Alford Street Bridge carries MA-99 across the Mystic River connecting Chelsea and Everett. The bridge is pedestrian accessible and offers a vista for the Mystic River. The bridge also provides access to the Draw Seven Park Greenway Trailhead which can also be used to view the river and connects to Draw Seven State Park where there is accessible parking and access to the trail.
