About this Location

Lake Lorraine Conservation Area is a former state park located on the southern shore of Lake Lorraine. The park used to offer a sand beach, swimming, fishing, and restrooms for visitors, as well as a regional boating safety training center. However, the park has been closed and unstaffed since 2009 due to budget cuts by the state government. The park is now used by the Environmental Police as a satellite headquarters and trespassing is prohibited. The park is owned by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. View birds from public roadsides only.
