Hubbard Brook Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is located on Lime Kiln Road in Sheffield. It covers 195 acres of forest, wetland, and open fields along Hubbard Brook, a tributary of the Housatonic River. The WMA is free and open to the public for walking, hiking, hunting, fishing, trapping, and wildlife viewing. Bartholomew's Cobble, a National Natural Landmark that features rare plants and rock formations, is 7 miles o the south. The Appalachian Trail crosses Hubbard Brook just north of the WMA.
