Nashawtuc Hill Official WebsiteSimon Willard Woods covers an area of 80 acres and features hiking trails, picnic areas, a playground, and a pond. The park is named after Simon Willard, a prominent settler and military leader who founded the town of Concord in 1635. The woods were donated to the town by his descendants in 1899. The park is open year-round.

Concord’s rivers take center stage in the walks around Nashawtuc Hill. This assemblage of protected lands has come about over 50 years, thanks to the generosity of numerous land donors, neighbors, and members who value its unspoiled character. Protected lands include Simon Willard Woods, Brengle-Ham Field, Brooks-Hudson Meadow, French’s Meadow, Shaw Land, and Sherwood Red Maple Swamp.
