The cypress trees along the lake shoreline usually host a handful of Yellow-throated Warblers in the spring and summer.

The Nalle Bunny Run wildlife preserve is owned by the Hill Country Conservancy land trust and is only accessible during guided events. More info is here.

As of December, 2023, guided monthly walks will be offered on first Saturdays. These are usually led by Mikael Behrens and must be registered for with Hill Country Conservancy. Since the walks are capped at 10 people, a nominal fee is charged to lessen the number of people who register and don't show.
