8 Mountain Avenue Woodland Park, NJ 07424
Official WebsiteBirding is great throughout the park, especially during migration and breeding seasons. There are trails through all of the wooded areas and good access to the reservoir on the West side of the park. It is a fairly large park, but walking the majority of the park is realistic in a morning.
Garret Mountain Reservation, located in both Woodland Park and Paterson, is one of Passaic County’s most frequented parks. The original landscape was designed by the famed Olmsted Brothers Firm. The 310 acres of recreational space sits more than 500 feet above sea level, with views of Paterson and the New York City skyline.
