Elm Bank Reservation

About this Location

Elm Bank Reservation covers 182 acres of land along the Charles River and features natural and historical attractions. The park is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and offers recreational opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and picnicking. Elm Bank Reservation is also home to the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, which operates a complex of gardens and buildings on the site. The park is open year-round from dawn to dusk and is accessible by car, bike, or public transportation.

There is plenty to see as you walk through this park. Take a hike through the woodlands and find a variety of wildlife. Stroll through the gardens for a glimpse of amazing landscaping.

There is no entry fee for the reservation. There is an admission fee for visiting the Garden at Elm Bank. The garden is open from April through December.
