Perhaps most interesting possibilities during spring migration. Often waders in the river like Ruddy Turnstone and Dunlin, but also Wagtails and Swallows. 

Nice location near town center. Also used as swimming area by locals (especially in the morning; year around) and dog walkers. Please note, domestic ducks and geese is often seen in the area - they are not restrained by fences. They belong to the nearby houses. Small, but nice, aquarium on southside of bay (https://www.sjosavn.net/). National Hospital on northside of bay. Please do not use those parking lots during weekday. Helipad on northside of bay. Please leave helipad area if helicopter approaches, it is likely to be ambulance flight. 

Gulls and ducks in the bay and along the shore. Especially during spring migration interesting birds may show up along the river.

Wheelchairs: Must enter from the Hospital area.

Roadside view: Northside - can enter the area by car from the Hospital area, but it is narrow, and you share area with pedestrians; not recommended. Southside: You may use the road down to the Aquarium, but please do not clog the road - visitors to the Aquarium have the priority, also for the parking lot around the Aquarium.
