When submitting eBird observations at the Wachusett Reservoir, it is most helpful to start a new checklist for each hotspot on the reservoir. Use the general hotspot when you have a checklist that includes multiple locations or if no other hotspot or personal location is appropriate for your sightings.

The 65-billion-gallon reservoir covers 108 square miles with 37 miles of shoreline. Recreational activities are regulated and limited to protect 3 million people’s drinking water.
