Butler Farm Community Garden webpageButler Farm is a historic farmstead located in Millbury. The farm was established in 1728 by Samuel Butler, a prominent landowner and militia officer. The farm consists of a two-story farmhouse, a barn, a carriage house, and several outbuildings. The farmhouse is a well-preserved example of Georgian architecture, with a central chimney, a symmetrical facade, and a gambrel roof. The barn dates from the late 18th century and features a distinctive cupola. The carriage house was built in the 19th century and served as a storage and workshop space for the farm's vehicles and equipment. The farm remained in the Butler family until 1972 when it was sold to the town of Millbury. It is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is open to the public as a museum and educational center.
The Butler Farm property has a dog park and a community garden, managed by the Town of Millbury.
