About this Location

The Bald Mountain trail provides a path for visitors to access the Glastenbury Wilderness and the summit of Bald Mountain.

The east side of the Bald Mountain trail (nearer Woodford) travels 2 miles, with a 1580-foot elevation change, to the junction of the West Ridge Trail. The trail follows an old road that provides access for a few local camps and then at 0.3 miles, at the Forest Service boundary marked with red paint, turns left onto the trail. The trail is marked with blue blazes.
