This is an actively used park in Decatur. It has tennis courts, a swimming pool, baseball fields and play areas.
Brown-headed nuthatches live in the tall pines here and sparrows can be found along the creek bank. Migrating warblers, vireos and orioles may also be found along the creek.
The paved trails are popular for walkers. The park sits adjacent to Decatur Cemetery and parking is ample, except perhaps on Hot days when the pool is open.
