It’s possible to bird the main road, as it’s not usually very busy. Beyond the gates there are old mine roads that can be walked and birded.

This hotspot is an old strip mine. It’s a Wildlife Management Area owned by the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife. Hunters may be present during hunting seasons.

No ATV’s, camping, horseback riding, or rock climbing is allowed on the WMA.
