South Hadley Canal Park is a historic site that preserves the remnants of a 19th-century canal system. The park offers visitors a glimpse into the industrial past of the region, as well as views of the Connecticut River and Mount Holyoke Range. The park features interpretive signs, walking trails, picnic areas, and a boat ramp. The park is open year-round from dawn to dusk, and admission is free.
Canal Park and the overlook offer a view of the Connecticut River, located on Canal Street adjacent to the Red Cliff Canoe Club. Parking is limited.
