The Annaquatucket Reservoir, located east of Annaquatucket Road in North Kingstown, covers an area of 450 acres and has a maximum depth of around 40 feet. The reservoir was created in the 1960s by constructing a dam on the Annaquatucket River, which flows into the reservoir. The reservoir is owned and managed by the Providence Water Supply Board, which operates the reservoir as part of the Scituate Reservoir system. The water from the reservoir is treated at the nearby Davisville Water Treatment Plant and then distributed to customers throughout the region.
