About this Location

Abigail Adams State Park is named after Abigail Adams, the wife of President John Adams and the mother of President John Quincy Adams, who was born and raised in Weymouth. The park offers scenic views of the Boston skyline and the Fore River estuary, as well as hiking trails, picnic areas, and a fishing pier. The park is also home to a memorial honoring Abigail Adams and her contributions to American history and culture.

Abigail Adams State Park consists of a 0.7-mile paved walking trail along the Weymouth Back River. It is a convenient place to launch your canoe or kayak and is Stroller-friendly.

Notable Trails

A wide, 0.7-mile paved walking trail extends along the edge of the Weymouth Back River and connects with the Kibby Property, which offers an additional trail loop.
