Can be good for large flocks of geese and waterfowl. When water levels are low there is often a large exposed mudflat that looks like it has potential for shorebirds.
There is a pull off area right beside the river.

This group covers the individual sections of the Otonabee River between the lock stations from Trent University to Lakefield.
The Promise Rock trail and the Rotary Greenway Trail are on the east side of the road and can be accessed from the parking area to the south (at Lock 22- Nassau Mills).
