Pilgrim Memorial State Park. 17 acres, commemorates the arrival of the Pilgrims in 1620. The park consists of two monuments: Plymouth Rock, which is enclosed in a portico designed by McKim, Mead, and White, and the National Monument to the Forefathers, which is an 81-foot granite statue depicting the virtues of the Pilgrims. The park also offers scenic views of Plymouth Harbor and the Myles Standish Monument State Reservation across the bay. The park is owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.
