Birds of Interest

Winter waterfowl. Water in the Texas Panhandle is limited so even little city parks with water get migrating ducks and gees. Waterfowl reported at this park include Snow, Cackling and Canada Geese, teal, shoveler, Gadwall, Mallard, Canvasback, and Ring-necked Ducks. Shorebirds included Wilson's Phalarope, Spotted and Solitary Sandpiper, Greater Yellowlegs and Stilt, Least and Western Sandpipers.
