Five Mile Pond (Massachusetts Paddler) webpageThe shoreline of Five Mile Pond is approximately 50% developed with year-round homes and a public swimming beach. There is a railroad track along the northern shoreline separating Five Mile Pond from Lake Lorraine. The shoreline fishing area is extensive.
The park is run by the city of Springfield. All city rules apply. The park is heavily used in warm water. Swimming and picnicking are the most popular activities. A lifeguard is on duty.
