Just north of the Lowe-Volk Nature Center in Jefferson Township, dubbed “Sandusky Headwaters Preserve”, this newly protected property started with the donation of 1.13 acres from Norm and Sharon Huber in 2016. The Huber parcel sits on the north side of the Sandusky River, just west of the OH-598 bridge. This one-acre buffer ensures the protection of the river from possible runoff coming out of Leesville. The Crawford Park District offers many thanks to the Hubers for this outright donation.
