About this Location

Mill Pond Nature Sanctuary is a 40-acre preserve that features a scenic pond, a diverse wetland habitat, and a network of trails for hiking and wildlife observation. The sanctuary is open to the public year-round, from dawn to dusk, and offers educational programs and guided tours. 

Mill Pond Nature Sanctuary includes Mill Pond and lands on the east side of the pond.

Notable Trails

The Mill Pond Nature Sanctuary’s trail system is named in honor of Les Hubbard, former chairman of the Walpole Conservation Commission and founder of this sanctuary. Walking the loop from the parking lot to the woods road and back is a moderately easy hike of about one hour.
