Flora Whiteley Preserve consists of two parcels totaling approximately 14.1 acres. More than 12 acres are owned by the Westerly Land Trust and the balance is managed under a conservation easement. The property has substantial frontage on the Pawcatuck River with extensive marsh and wetlands.
The Preserve also contains uplands with woodlands, exposed ledge, and a seasonal stream that flows to the River. A meadow and knoll overlooking the Pawcatuck River is another great feature of this preserve, offering a portage egress point around the Potter Hill Dam. The property was purchased in two parts in 2005 and 2006.
Trails: A trail system is accessible with easy trails that travel along the river and to an upland meadow area. Limited parking is available.
