Sikes Lake is not real big and most of it can be managed without a scope, but if the ducks are on the western end, a scope may be needed. There have been 18 species of waterfowl recorded here and it is one of the best spots in town to find Black-bellied Whistling Duck. It has large pecans and a few oaks scattered on the premises and are pretty good for passerines and woodpeckers.
